IBO Player Pro: MAC Address and Device Key, What Is Documented
What the developer says about the MAC address, what it does not say about a Device Key or where the app shows either, and which devices it lists.
Quick answer
IBO's own playlist login page asks for two things, both required: a MAC address and a Device Key. Its FAQ explains the MAC address: every TV has two (one for Wi-Fi, one for Ethernet), the second becomes active after you switch connection type and restart the app, and it cannot be changed by hand. IBO's pages do not say where the app shows either value. Some reseller guides say both appear on the app's first screen, but we could not confirm that from the developer.
Applies to
- Devices
- Devices IBO Player lists on its website: Samsung, LG webOS, Sony, Android TV, Windows, Roku and Apple TV; Fire TV is not in that list
- Apps
- IBO Player Pro (the developer's website covers the IBO Player apps together)
- How this was verified
- Partly checked against official documentation (see Sources) on October 29, 2026. Steps marked “Not documented by the maker” are not confirmed. Not tested on a real device by us. Menu names can differ by model and software version.
What the developer documents#
These points come from IBO Player's own website and FAQ, the App Store listing for IBO Player Pro, and the company's press release.
| Topic | What it says | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Content | The app is a media player. It does not include channels or playlists, and IBO does not help you find one. You need your own playlist or media | IBO website FAQ, App Store listing |
| Trial and licence | A 7-day trial, then a licence is needed. IBO says there are no refunds after purchase, and not to buy the app if you do not have a playlist or media | IBO website |
| Playlist login | IBO's "Manage Your Playlist" login page has two required fields: Mac Address and Device Key, plus a captcha. The App Store listing sends you to this page (on iboiptv.com) to upload a playlist | IBO website login page, App Store listing |
| MAC address | Each TV has 2 MAC addresses: the first is Wi-Fi, the second is Ethernet. The second becomes active after you switch connection type and restart the app. A MAC address is unique to each TV and cannot be changed manually | IBO website FAQ |
| Playlist problems | IBO says it has no access to your playlist, so it does not give help with playlists. It says an "Unable to Stream" message appears when there are restrictions on a playlist | IBO website FAQ |
| Official website | IBO's press release says its only official website is iboplayer.com. The address iboiptv.com, which the App Store listing sends you to for uploading a playlist, serves the same site and names iboplayer.com as canonical | Press release, App Store listing, both sites |
| Warning | The press release says many people and sites falsely claim to be official IBO Player Pro dealers or resellers | Press release |
Where to see the MAC address and the Device Key#
If you cannot see what you are looking for, general first steps (not from IBO) are to close and reopen the app and to restart the device. After that, ask the developer or the provider who gave you your playlist.
If your MAC address changed#
IBO's FAQ explains the usual reason. Each TV has two MAC addresses, one for Wi-Fi and one for Ethernet. If you switch between them and restart the app, the app can show the other one. IBO says you cannot change a MAC address by hand.
Which devices does it work on?#
| Device | What we could confirm |
|---|---|
| Samsung, LG webOS, Sony, Android TV, Windows, Roku, Apple TV | IBO Player's website lists these as compatible streaming devices |
| iPhone, iPad, Apple TV | The Apple App Store lists IBO Player Pro |
| Android, Windows, macOS, Linux | IBO's press release says downloads exist for these |
| Fire TV | Not in IBO's list of compatible devices. Some third-party guides tell you to install a file with the Downloader app. We cannot vouch for those files, and IBO's own pages do not describe that route |
If you are not sure a file or website is official, do not install it. The company's press release says fake dealers exist and that iboplayer.com is its only official website.
Still stuck?#
- Note the device and model, what the screen shows and what you already tried.
- IBO says it cannot help with playlists, so for playlist problems ask whoever supplied the playlist.
- For a Tellyro account, message us with the device, the app and what you see.
